CLIENT PARTNER PROFILE & VALUE PROPOSITION:  LEAPROS has partnered with a highly successful real estate investment company in Orange County on their search for a Property Accountant. 

The Property Accountant will report to the property accounting supervisor and will be responsible for the management of  the monthly property financial statement close process for multiple properties, maintaining internal controls, treasury and internal reporting.

TITLE: Property Accountant 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Produce journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.
  • Post accounts receivable transactions and handle bank deposits
  • Record property operating activities
  • Analyze budget and actual results to report variances
  • Support integration of new acquisitions as needed
  • Prepare monthly balance sheets and income statements
  • Prepare supplemental financial schedules
  • Compile a monthly reporting package for each property for which they are responsible
  • Collaborate with various departments 

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 1+ years of Accounting Experience - Real Estate preferred  
  • Bachelor Degree in a related field 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with GAAP
  • Great Plains and FRx experience a plus
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and oral and written communication skills
  • Be detailed oriented while multi-tasking in a fast-paced company
  • Possess creative thinking and ability to resolve issues
  • Must be hands-on and work effectively in a demanding environment
