Business Analyst (Senior)

Talent Orchard, LLC has been contracted by a top defense firm in their search for a Senior Business Analyst at Offutt AFB, NE.

·Directly responsible to the Perspecta on-site Program Manager for all Financial Management activities supporting a major Government Contract at Offutt AFB

·Works on-site at Offutt AFB with Perspecta Project Managers, Engineers, Material Planners, Procurement Specialists, and Senior Functional Managers to document and manage financial requirements and performance for the Government Contract

·Produces Program and Project Burn Rate Charts

·Interfaces on-site with Government Financial personnel

·Supports cost proposals for new and revised contract requirements

·Complies with guidance from Corporate Finance Management activities

·Perform monthly close and forecast activities as well as the annual Budgeting exercise

·Creation and maintenance of a 3 year financial plan

·Perform variance analysis and provide solid business explanations

·Present financial results and forecasts to senior management

·Collaborate with the Accounting and Policy teams on new business opportunities and application of new or revised policies

Education and Experience Required:

·First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree and/or accounting certification (e.g., Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) strongly preferred

·10+ years of Financial analysis experience

·Working knowledge of and experience with GAAP and ASC-606

Knowledge and Skills Required:

·Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

·Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

·Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis

·Excellent analytical skills

·Excellent project management skills

·Excellent communication skills, catered to a wide variety of audiences

·Excellent business acumen

·Strong understanding of the company's policies and processes

·Excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills

Clearance:

·The candidate hired for this position must be a US Citizen and must be capable of maintaining/obtaining a TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for SCI.  Candidates without a current clearance will be considered if they can obtain the required clearance after a phase-in period for this position
