Customer Service Technician

BYD in Los Angeles CA seeks a qualified Customer Service Technician.

Job brief:

Provide overview of Responsibilities, Job Function and Requirements of BYD Truck Customer Service Technician.

Customer Service Technician will be responsible for working at BYD and/or Customer facilities to diagnose and repair trucks under warranty, perform Customer support and service including preventive and corrective maintenance as required by BYD and/or Customer.

Responsibilities:

·         Under general supervision of the Customer Service Manager or Supervisor, the Technician will complete work assignments at Customer facilities and/or BYD facilities and may be asked to perform other maintenance and repair duties as assigned.

·         Perform diagnosis and repairs of warranty items. Provide Customer interface and reports on field maintenance activities.

·         Responds to Customer requests, comments or complaints as needed. Assist Customer with maintenance related issues.

·         Order parts as needed, coordinate repairs and provides daily Service reports/Parts requisitions as needed.

·         Coordinates new vehicle delivery acceptance with Customers in USA and Canada.

·         Provide daily status reporting to Customer Service Manager/Supervisor.

·         Follows up with Parts clerks for parts availability and ETA.

Requirements:

·         Knowledge of truck maintenance operations and field service support.

·         Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years’ experience.

·         Truck Technician experience, preferably working in a field service environment.

·         Experienced in truck maintenance and repair. Experience with computer based diagnostics in truck maintenance operations.

·         Experience with truck Electric drive systems preferred.

·         Ability to travel and work in the Customer’s environment. Weekends, nights and long hours will occur.

·          Driver License:  Must possess a valid driver’s license in home state with no more than one (1) infraction during previous three years. Class A preferred. If no Class A at this time, candidate shall have the ability to obtain a Class A license.
