Our client is searching for a R&D Senior Engineer - Heart Valves to be responsible for designing of implantable class III cardiovascular devices and verification with FEA modelling. The function also include support in testing (in-vivo and in-vitro) and transfer to manufacturing of the device developed.
Responsibilities:
- CAD of implantable cardiovascular devices class III and in particular heart valves (use of PT Creo, Solid-Work, Rhinoceros, etc..).
- Verification of the designed devices with FEA modelling including (Abacus, Ansys or similar software)
- Maintain a solid cooperation with strategic suppliers involved in parts manufacturing (transfer from design to final device components)
- Setup of preclinical testing protocols on designed devices (accelerated durability tests) and components (fatigue tests)
- Support in statistical analysis of data obtained from preclinical tests
- Provide guidance to R&D Junior Engineers
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience with Class III implantable cardiovascular devices, preferably, heart valves
- Nitinol experience
- Mechanical or Aerospace Engineer or similar
- Good knowledge of CAD design
- Good knowledge of FEA simulations
- At least 4-5 years experience in medical device design
- Knowledge of at least one language (Italian, English or French preferred)
