Career Evolutions is searching for a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis with a fast growing retail company in Phoenix, AZ. It’s a contract-to-hire, full-time opportunity with compensation up to $125,000 + Benefits.
If you’re a self-starter with prior experience working with financial planning & analysis and have a passion for mergers & acquisitions (M&A) in a fast growing environment where you will have a direct impact on the entire organization then this may be the right opportunity for you.
It’s a high visibility role as you will serve as the go-to financial business partner and advisor completing annual, quarterly, and monthly forecasting as well as weekly and monthly reporting and analytics on key performance drivers of the business and help in developing the framework period of the organization. You are responsible for evaluating, tracking and reporting financial goals / outcomes and will contribute to the planning process and build and develop strong relationships with management to pro-actively drive fact-based business decisions. And you will partner with other members to generate management monthly reporting and provide insight on deviations.
You have a background of planning, organizing, and coordinating the daily and long-term management of the company’s financial goals and objectives. You thrive in a cooperative setting that will see you grow important organizational relationships. You believe in taking ownership of what you do and you feel a need to deliver work that will lead to department, location, and overall company growth.
Responsibilities:
Develop financial models / revenue modeling for forecasting process and demonstrate / support forecasting and decision-support analytical tools
Support the growth of the company through M&A support
Major lead of annual budgeting and forecasting process
Establish and analyze key business trends and issues based on actual, forecasted, and 3rd party research data
Provides analytical support, operational data and reporting to management in performance assessment and create strategies for improvement overall profitability
Work with members on the accounting team + business partners on problem resolution /consistency
Support the leaders in decision making as necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree required – Accounting, Finance, Business
CPA highly desirable, MBA preferred
Previous M&A, Private Equity, and Capital Raise experience required
5+ years of recent experience with budgeting forecasting, analysis and financial modeling
Proficient with Excel and other data manipulation tools
Able to communicate financial information to all levels of the organization with excellent financial and business analytical skills
Ability to express information and concepts with conciseness and clarity when writing and speaking
Able to partner and work cross functionally across organization
Excellent attention to detail, organizational and prioritization skills
