Career Evolutions is searching for a Field Software Engineer for a fast growing global hi-tech company. Full-time, Direct-Hire, Remote Opportunity with flexible compensation.
Required to travel internationally up 50% of time; and the other 50% is work Remotely.

As a Field Software Engineer will engage with the pre-sales process and remain engaged throughout the delivery phase. You will be on the front line of cloud and IoT, bare metal, and container based systems. You will provide engineering support to a range of Client’s from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. You will provide technical support organization and interact with other Clients to help resolve issues and build relationships.
Responsibilities
Experience working with one or more technologies: OpenStack, Kubernetes, and/or Ubuntu
Willingness to learn or familiarity with LXD, Snaps, MaaS, Juju and Ubuntu
Engage in pre-sales process and delivery phase
Experience with application and Linux OS performance analysis
Adaptability to a wide range of different situations, deployments, and architectures
Strong advocate for quality customer experience
Willingness to collaborate and participate as an effective member of a globally distributed team
Requirements
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field
Strong knowledge of Ubuntu and/or Debian foundational packages and development processes
TCP/IP networking, libvirt/KVM virtualization and core Linux OS skills
Solid programming experience in Python and Go for open source projects
Must be able to speak English fluently; and other languages (PLUS)
Experience in a customer-facing engagement, demonstrating and training
