Security Engineer

Perspecta is currently seeking Security Engineer based in Pensecola, FL.  This is to support a Cyber program - protecting the .gov infrastructure.  We provides systems engineering, vulnerability testing, scanning, and assessments, and integration support for the National Cybersecurity Protection System.    

Must hold current/active, fully adjudicated Top Secret SCI clearance to be considered.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The candidate will support security engineering activities to reduce security risks to Government systems. 

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

• Perform security testing on deployed systems to ensure security safeguards are in-place
• Verify system was properly installed into production by using guidelines described in the System Administration Guide and Infrastructure Change Requests
• Run vulnerability scans to identify security vulnerabilities at the operating system or application level
• Review Security Test & Evaluation testing reports/results to ensure findings were remediated
• Deconflict and schedule post deployment tests
• Schedule routine meetings with system administrators to address any findings
• Work with system administrators and operations staff to resolve detected vulnerabilities

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• The applicant should have strong communication skills to work with other contractor teams as well as government customer organizations.
• Applicant must have prior Security Engineering and vulnerability testing experience   

Must have experience with these tools and processes:

• Nessus
• App Detective
• Web Inspect
• Burpe Suite
• Security Testing
• Vulnerability Assessment & Analysis
• Security Test & Evaluation (ST&E)

Must have expertise in one of these areas:

• Linux
• Windows
• Networking / Tools

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION(S) REQUIRED

• Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 8 - 10 yrs of experience, or Master's with 6 - 8 yrs of experience.
• DHS Suitability is a plus
