Embedded Software QA Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

Engineering Quality Analyst supports and coaches the project teams in the application of the standard processes. The objective of this role is to ensure product quality during the development. This position requires a high level of initiative, great attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, ability to work with a global team, and possession of excellent communication.

Typical Duties

• Guide and mentor engineering teams in process understanding
• Work to ensure consistency in following corporate process guidelines
• Lead periodic audits of software and systems teams to ensure compliance
• Facilitate Agile SCRUM adoption in software projects
• Gather and report key process metrics to assess the health of active product launch projects
• Share challenges, lessons learned, and best practices with global counterparts
• Liaison with Customer Engineering Quality to align expectations
• Work with Continuous Improvement team to drive process improvements
• Enable the achievement of Automotive SPICE and CMMI compliance as required by our customers

Your qualifications: Positive, pro-active and self-driven achiever with:

• University degree in engineering (area of Electronics, Automation, Computer Systems, Information Technologies)
• At least 3 years of experience in working with Software development team. Good knowledge in Embedded Software development
• Willing to develop her/him-self on Quality Systems and Process improvement methods. IATF16949, CMMI or Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) knowledge is an advantage
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to instruct, coach, and inspire others
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills; Very good English speaking skills
• Familiar with system, software and validation development life cycle. Automotive Electronics industry knowledge is required
• 10-15% Travel Domestically & Internationally.

Good to have:

• Experience with Agile software development, and Scrum framework is an advantage
• Negotiation skills are highly desired
