The Pre-Sales Engineer is a critical part of the Sales team with a focus on delivery pre-sales demonstrations and technical leadership to drive a great prospecting experience during the sales process. The Pre-Sale Engineer will focus on selling, demoing, and determining the best solution of the WealthEngine solution. The Pre-Sales Engineer will be responsible for working hand in hand with the Sales team to drive ACV for WealthEngine. The Pre-Sales Engineer is required to effectively document and communicate customer needs for the implementation and sales teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Working closely with the sales team on proposals and pitches for business.
- Attending meetings with business development managers and acting as a technical expert.
- Putting together business cases for the sales teams to support their proposals.
- Working closely and collaboratively with customers to devise effective solutions.
- Ensuring that the company’s product can deliver on the customer’s requirements.
- Working closely with customers to understand and capture requirements.
- Replying to customers following requests for information and proposal requests.
- Presenting proposals to customers alongside members of the sales team.
- Producing detailed costings for customers and ensuring the contract is profitable
- Deliver marketing webinars
- Participate in strategy meetings with the sales and marketing teams
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion
Position Requirements
- Experience with Salesforce or Customer Relationship Management systems
- Experience in consultative selling and/or delivery of demonstrations to C-level prospects
- Experience selling technology platforms/applications
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, markets or teams supported
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
- Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization, including C-level communication
- Outstanding phone presence and business acumen
- Willingness to travel 20-30% on average, up to 50%
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent work experience - and comfort working in a highly technical environment
- Overall 7-10 years of industry experience with 3-5 years of experience in a Pre-Sales role with a technology company
- Prior experience in or supporting the core business – Non-Profit ( institutes of Higher Education, Healthcare, Arts & Museum)
- Understanding of marketing and marketing analytics is a plus
