Talent Orchard has been contracted by a top tier defense firm to assist with a search for Aerospace Ground Support Equipment Engineer - System I&T with specialty in any of the following:  Electrical, Software, Hardware, Systems or Mechanical.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Design, research, develop, assemble, integrate, test and sustain all ground equipment that supports systems, subsystems and unit level elements of the spacecraft/vehicle throughout its entire design life cycle which include operations/sustainment and end of life phases.
• They work closely with the Aerospace and Systems Engineers to determine the correct requirements and equipment specifications to accommodate the flight spacecraft/vehicle.
• Documents and works to resolve all complex problems.
• Develops and executes test plans, test cases and test procedures to ensure that all Aerospace Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and services meet organization standards and customer requirements.
• Writes test program for both flight and ground Test and Evaluation Plan (T&E), Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Plan, Test Schedules, Assembly, Integrations and Test work break down and Test Procedure requirements, design and development.
• Owns anomaly/failure resolution process and databases.
• They are responsible for coordinating all failure and anomaly issues found while during assemble, integration, testing, operations and sustainment of flight and ground systems that support flight testing and operations.
• They report directly to the program manager, chief engineer and the customer under the direction of the program manager.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

• Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: Secret

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more relevant experience
• 5 years of System Integration and Testing of ground support equipment for satellites
• Failure resolution processes when dealing with ground support systems supporting flight vehicles
• Experience writing test process and procedures
• Experience with IV&V plans and processes
• Experience with operations and sustainment of ground support equipment supporting flight vehicles

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor Degree from an accredited ABET college in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics.
• 5 plus years of experience with Satellite Ground Stations and/or flight vehicle testingMBSE experience CM Control for GSE equipment supporting flight vehicles
• Knowledge of Risk Analysis for ground equipment interfacing with flight designs SW and/or HW AGSE experience
• IAT Level II certification is highly desired
