We are currently looking to expand our team and develop Ardon team members in all areas of core business functions.
We are looking for a Supervisor of Pharmacy Production, under the guidance of the Manager of Pharmacy Operations, will be the main point of contact for back end office (BEO) needs, ensuring all aspects of daily production are met. As such, this role is responsible for BEO staff, workflow, inventory and supply purchasing, invoicing, temperature monitoring, DSCSA compliance, re-ship resolution, and new hire training.
Primary Functions:
- Ensuring pharmacy processes are completed and all orders ship on date promised
- Directs BEO staff throughout the day to maintain highly efficient workflow
- Performs quality assurance checks
- Develops performance metrics and tracks productivity
- Analyze temperature validation process and propose any necessary changes
- With direction of PIC, Ownership of all BEO Policies and Procedures
- Completion of cycle review
- Ensures timely processing of Stericycle
- Ensures DSCSA tracking is complete through Tracelink
- Ensures appropriate invoice processing
- Ensures re-ship resolution documentation and follow-up is completed correctly
- Actively participates in quality assurance projects
- Conducts team huddles and one-on-ones with individual staff
- Supplies performance metrics to staff weekly
- Tracks and documents internal and external errors
- Provides error reporting for QA
- Member of Quality Assurance Committee
- Approves PTO requests and manages BEO schedule
- Performs employee annual reviews
- Monitors staff members’ performances and schedules according to departmental standards
- Develops and manages departmental reports for volume, service levels, productivity, and other markers.
- Performs dispensing and shipping functions when necessary
- Ensures adherence to accreditation standards/objectives
- Maintains awareness of changing average wholesale prices (AWP) and costs to ensure the pharmacy obtains optimum reimbursement
- Works with Legal & Regulatory department on compliance audits and documentation of training.
- Ensures daily inventory operations are complete
- Oversees cleaning schedule for back-end work spaces and equipment
- Oversees daily temperature monitoring and review, utilizing SensoScientific technology and manual logs
- Updates policies and procedures and written job aids as needed
- Responsible for training and documentation of new personnel on dispensing and packaging duties
- Ensures entry of needed data points for reports
- Maintains knowledge of the pharmacy’s services and helps educate staff and referral sources
- Works with marketing staff to identify and correct opportunities with referral sources
- Assists elsewhere in the pharmacy when possible
- Maintains active Oregon license. Immediately informs supervisor (and Oregon Board of Pharmacy within 10 days) of any arrests, convictions, suspected or known violations of law, or any other conduct that might affect or has affected license status. Reports to Oregon Board of Pharmacy within 15 days any residence address or employment changes.
- Ensures conformance of team with the standards of attendance, which may be revised from time to time
- Adheres to regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be revised from time to time, which is essential to the successful performance of this position.
- Actively participates and provides support as needed to leadership and quality program staff to ensure activities related to the company’s quality management program and quality improvement activities maintain priority focus and are effectively executed. This may include but is not limited to activities that promote objective and systematic measurement, monitoring, and evaluation of services and defined Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) that may result from such efforts.
- Complies with the company’s Human Resources policies, Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and all department policies and procedures, including protecting confidential company, employee, and customer information; attending work punctually and regularly; and adhering to good safety practices in all activities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
