We are currently looking to expand our team and develop Ardon team members in all areas of core business functions.

We are seeking a Referral Resource Specialist who provide exceptional service to our patients by supporting all processes related to referral management. The specialist will be an expert in the stages of prescription processing, insurance and benefit investigation and a liaison between pharmacists and providers for escalated needs. Additionally, the specialist will manage all queues related to prescription clarifications, prior authorization and refill/prescription requests.  

Primary Functions:
1.    Acts as liaison between company, patients, and physician’s office.
2.    Responsible for application tasks including but not limited to: 
     a.    Assigning incoming documents
     b.    Updating patient files
     c.    Performing benefits investigation
     d.    Loading insurance information
     e.    Expertly performing prescription data entry
      f.    Processing prescriber refill requests
     g.    Processing prior authorization notices
     h.    Performing and reviewing claim submission and reversal
      i.    Addressing payment exceptions
      j.    Supporting Benefits Investigation Coordinator with accounts receivable processing needs
3.    Assists supervisor in addressing queue workload and troubleshoot application and workflow issues.  
4.    Troubleshoots adjudication issues and becomes well versed in the nuances of insurance billing and benefit investigation.
5.    Fields FEO email requests and addresses issues or facilitates routing to alternate department.
6.    Works with HUB for limited distribution drug referrals.
7.    Trains new team members on FEO processes.
8.    Assists pharmacist team in processing prescriptions and addressing patient needs.
9.    Communicates with patients as needed regarding prescription refills and refers any medication or illness related questions or concerns to a board licensed healthcare professional, including but not limited to nurses, pharmacists, and supervised pharmacy interns.
10.    Supports call center when business needs arise.
11.    Maintains documentation of incoming and outgoing calls to and from patients.
12.    Contacts patients to schedule deliveries, confirm addresses, inform of any co-payments involved, and notify of payment responsibilities when business needs arise.
13.    Communicates patient status to physician offices and clinics.
14.    Maintains patient confidentiality.
15.    Utilizes operating systems and tools to help manage patient therapy and refill compliance.
16.    Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be revised from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.  
17.    Maintains active Oregon license. Immediately informs supervisor (and Oregon Board of Pharmacy within 10 days) of any arrests, convictions, suspected or known violations of law, or any other conduct that might affect or has affected license status. Reports to Oregon Board of Pharmacy within 15 days any residence address or employment changes.
18.    Actively participates and provides support as needed to leadership and quality program staff to ensure activities related to the company’s quality management program and quality improvement activities maintain priority focus and are effectively executed. This may include but is not limited to activities that promote objective and systematic measurement, monitoring, and evaluation of services and defined Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) that may result from such efforts.
19.    Complies with the company’s Human Resources policies, Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and all department policies and procedures, including protecting confidential company, employee, and customer information; attending work punctually and regularly; and adhering to good safety practices in all activities. 
20.    Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
