Land Survey Tech/Draftsman – Tyler, TX

Surveying & Mapping, Inc. is looking for a Land Survey Tech/Draftsman for a full time position located in our Tyler, TX office.  S&M. has been serving the petroleum industry for more than 70 years and is continuing to grow.      

Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicate with Land Surveyors, field crews, office staff and clients to ensure job requirements are meeting expectations.
• Design maps based on fieldwork and layouts.
• Ensure final maps comply with appropriate internal and external standards.
• Other duties of similar nature may be assigned.

Requirements:

• Must have experience with oil and gas land surveying.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Must have experience creating drawings in a specified format.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Must be self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with CAD software (Carlson).
• Must possess organizational skills.
• Ability to draft a variety of jobs.
• S.I.T. certification preferred, but not required.
• Work well as part of a team.

At least 2 years of experience in oil and gas, preferred.
