Title: Sr. Hadoop Developer

Location: Greater Cincinnati

Terms: Direct hire

As a Hadoop Developer, you will utilize cutting-edge technologies to develop applications that turn data into actionable insights used to influence business ideas/decisions.

Responsibilities
• Lead design of Hadoop and SQL based solutions
• Perform development of Hadoop and SQL based solutions
• Perform unit and integration testing
• Provide mentoring to junior resources
• Participate in retrospective reviews
• Able to solve and bring new perspectives to complex problems
• Embrace new technologies 

Required Skills:
• 5+ years of professional data development experience
• 5+ years experience developing with SQL (Oracle, SQLServer)
• 3+ years developing with Hadoop/HDFS
• 3+ years developing experience with either Java, Scala or Python
• Experience with Spark
• Full understanding of ETL concepts
• Exposure to VCS (Git, SVN)
• Strong understanding of Agile Principles (Scrum)
