SUMMARY
Our client is searching for a Network Engineer who can implement equipment installation plans based on the Network Administrator’s specifications, maintain each component of the network and troubleshoot issues. You will be responsible for monitoring the network firewall, assessing the functionality of the network routers, ensuring all Internet security software is updated regularly, developing and implementing company email policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards.
Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy.
Configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls
Responsible for escalated application issues, managing domain controllers, firewalls, file servers, anti-virus servers, Windows group policy settings, phone systems, architecting Windows Active Directory etc.
Develop and maintain all Windows Systems
Defines technical standards and functionality tests. May develop specifications, prototypes, or initial user guides.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Networking or Equivalent experience
4+ years’ experience in Networking engineering and support
3+ Years Windows 2008-2016 Server, including backup and recovery.
2+ years of Hyper-V virtual servers
Knowledge and experience working with VoIP, H.323, SIP and video communications a plus
Strong knowledge of all windows networking components, including but not limited to: DHCP/DNS/WINS, and MS Active Directory, group policy and script management
Experience with IP Phone Systems (Avaya Plus)
