Position Summary: The Non Judicial In Home Services Supervisor manages a team of Diversion Care Coordinators providing intensive case management and care coordination of families served in the Non Judicial In Home Services track. This position ensures that all contractual and performance measures are adhered to. This includes supervisory review of case records and compliance with Florida Statute Chapter 39, Florida Administrative Code, and all agency policies, operating procedures and applicable COA standards. This position will provide oversight of the team's service authorization, Family Team Conferencing and Wraparound process in a flexible, responsive, culturally competent service delivery system. This position will provide on call support to families served and participate in quality improvements processes when indicated.

Technical/Functional Expectations:

  1. Management/Leadership of Diversion Care Coordinators: This position will have six direct reports of Diversion Care Coordinators and interface with the Department of Children and Families Child Protective Investigators for those children and families identified to be served through Non Judicial In Home Services. This position will also complete Performance Evaluations and appraise the employee's job results and performance in order to develop, counsel or discipline direct reports.
  2. Risk Assessment and Child Safety: This position will be adept at Risk Assessment and Child Safety including the development of safety plans, Ongoing Functional Family Assessments and ensuring that appropriate safety management services are authorized timely.
  3. Compliance with Contractual and Performance Measures: This position will ensure that all contractual and performance measures are adhered to related to child safety and well-being. This includes the timely documentation of chronologicals, initial family contact, completion of family assessment and care plan, supervisory reviews and monthly home visits.
  4. Data Management Reports: This position will run daily and monthly management reports in the state automated child welfare information system (FSFN) in order to assure compliance.
  5. Fiscal Management: This position will provide fiscal management of the Diversion budget and services authorized for Non Judicial In Home Services families.
  6. Family Team Conferencing and Wraparound Process: This position will provide leadership of the Family Team Conferencing and Wraparound process adhering to the ten principles of Wraparound.
  7. Other duties as required: Job performance requires fulfilling other incidental or related duties as assigned, assisting and training others, and performing duties of higher rated positions from time to time for developmental purposes.

Business Experience:

  1. Child Protection Certification State of Florida: This position requires Child Protection Certification in the state of Florida and knowledge of Child Welfare System Florida Administrative Code Family Safety 65C is required.
  2. 2+ years’ Experience as a Supervisor/Manager: This position requires at least three years of experience as a
  3. Supervisor/Manager of family based programs.
  4. Valid Driver's License-Essential: This position requires a valid driver's license in order to travel throughout the County.
  5. Computer skills (Microsoft and Web based application): This position uses Microsoft and a web based application for daily entry of case activity and the utilization management of service authorizations.
  6. 5+ years’ experience serving family based programs: This position must have at least five years’ experience serving at risk families who have experienced abuse, neglect or abandonment.
  7. Wraparound Certification: This position requires Wraparound Certification

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  1. BA/BS - Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Human Services required.
  2. MA/MS - Master’s Degree in Social Work or Human Services preferred.
  3. 5 to 8 years’ related experience required.
  4. 8 to 10 years’ related experience preferred.
