Payroll Specialist 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Duties
 Responsible for weekly, bi-weekly and/or monthly payroll processing including adjustments, relocation expenses, taxable awards, gross up allowances, retroactive salary payments, severance payments, manual payments, vacation payouts, disability payments, etc. in the U.S. and Canada
 Perform regular audits to ensure data integrity
 Maintain accurate work instructions
 Perform data entry of garnishments and coordinate payment with ADP
 Review all approvals and notifications of new hires, rehires, transfers, etc. in ADP Vantage for accuracy
 Submit various electronic voluntary benefit files to external vendors/third party administrators
 Support Payroll Manager and Sr. Payroll Specialist with auditing and reconciliations as needed
 Perform testing for new company code set ups and system upgrades/enhancements
 Clearly communicate any changes that effect employees and/or Human Resource personnel
 Answer verbal and written inquiries related to payroll and related withholdings
 Provide excellent customer service and be back up for payroll process as necessary

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
 A.S. degree in accounting or other business related field
 Minimum of 3 years in multi-state payroll
 Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles
 Strong computer and business solutions software skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
 Demonstrated familiarity with payroll functions
 Comfortable in highly automated environments and ability to drive continuous process improvements
 Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:Direct experience with ADP Vantage payroll or similar system for a similar sized company
 Audit support experience preferably with a public reporting company
 Multi-Country payroll experience
 CPA, or similar professional designation
