The Network Security Engineer is responsible for design, installation/configuration, maintenance and monitoring of the network. Tasking will also focus on repairs to the network systems and servers as well as improving the security postures of the network, continuous monitoring of network health, and troubleshooting issues that arise.
Responsibilities:
Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructure
Installation & configuration of network software and hardware
Diagnose cybersecurity impacts on network connectivity problems
Monitoring and troubleshooting network performance issues
Expand or modify security configurations of network infrastructure to serve new purposes or improve work flow
Implement new system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards that maximizes cybersecurity functionalities of networking components
Perform network patching and repairs
Knowledge sharing with team members
Recommendation and documentation for the network
Required Qualifications:
Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols
Intermediate knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls
Exceptional troubleshooting/resolution skills
Strong knowledge of physical and virtual networks
CCNA or other related professional certification
