Account Manager – Strategic Accounts

 Location: Cambridge, MA

Account Manager will create long-term, trusting relationships with our well-established client/partner base as part of Business Development team. The Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned clients/partner accounts to optimize account success, develop new business and sales opportunities within accounts, and ensure/manage renewals.  

The position calls for defining and implementing an account strategy through account satisfaction, development and retention; and working closely with business development and product to identify new opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as primary contact for all existing partner/client-related matters 
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships 
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements 
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, client stakeholders and executive sponsors 
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs and objectives 
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas 
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) 
  • Prepare reports on account status 
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory 
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-5 Years of Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role 
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level 
  • Maintain a consistent, high-quality customer-focused orientation, including providing clear, accurate information; explaining procedures or materials or providing supplemental information; anticipating problems or questions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail 
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities 
  • Preferred experience in security or other relevant IT industry experience. 
  • Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) .
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills .
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field .
