Application Development Manager
Conexess Group is aiding a local client in their search for a full time Application Development Manager. Ideal candidates will possess several years of management experience, exposure in both Java and .Net frameworks, and a high level understanding of Agile environments. This is an immediate need that will be interviewing as soon as possible and additional requirements are listed below!
Summary
- Leadership of Application Development Team while reporting to the AVP of Software Development.
- Management of direct reports while providing daily coaching.
- Creation of Performance Goals and Training Strategies for direct reports.
- Constantly ensure that the team is staffed appropriately to fulfill assigned deliverable goals and future activities.
- Develop strategies to minimize key resource dependencies.
- Be able to address impediments that have been escalated by the Team.
- Be able to address any issues/risks that impact the business as the point of escalation. This could include resetting expectations around delivery as well as issues raised around requirements.
- Support the SDLC process and Scrum Master on the day-to-day SDLC activities of the Team.
- Plan forecasting of resources.
- Ensure the right resources are put on the right work.
- Ensure adherence to departmental quality metric targets.
- Strong knowledge and experience with connecting Application Development teams with broader IT and Business Strategies.
- Will be working directly with Information Technology Leadership to meet organizational goals, improve processes and maintain Production SLA commitments.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT Management Experience.
- Experience working in Java/.Net development environments.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment using Scrum methodologies preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated depth of leadership experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate and partner with other IT leaders.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent area.
