Position Purpose

Provide excellent internal service to the customs brokerage department as well as external clients.   Utilize organizational skills to assist department in timely billing, entry filing and document distribution.  Assist with data entry on large complicated entries, work directly with assigned clients to obtain required information and distribute billing packets via e-mail and postal services directly to clients.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Comply with established company standards regarding communications/responsiveness
  • Process daily and monthly duty ACH statements
  • Print, distribute  and identify documentation sent to the CHB dept. on a daily basis
  • Open and set up files for new shipments. 
  • Assist with data entry on files that have large amounts of data entry required
  • Breakdown of completed files, send invoicing to clients and double check file stamps to ensure all steps have been completed by the entry writer
  • Organize and file all entry files as well as archive files for warehouse storage
  • Pull files recalled for audit purposes, which includes locating the file in filing cabinet, warehouse or entry writer’s desk
  • Locate missing documents
  • Update ETA’s and vessel information on items in Global’s ERP system (Global Main)
  • File non-complete ISFs
  • Build HTS spreadsheets for clients, consisting of hundreds of items
  • Complete other tasks or duties assigned by supervisor to ensure effective and efficient operation of the department
  • Supports and actively complies with the security duties and responsibilities described in the C-TPAT Security Program document which was received and signed for upon hire.
