Strategic Connections is currently accepting applications for a Level 2 Cable Technician for our Data Center Project in Lenoir, NC.
48 HOUR WORK WEEK. Monday through Thursday, 7AM to 5PM and Friday hours are 7AM to 3PM.
Level 2 Cable Technicians will have basic knowledge of Commercial Cabling.
Duties include: Inside data center cable experience. Cable/wire pulling, cabling wire closets, jacks, ladders, etc. The Level 2 Cable Technician will install various cable that includes twisted pair cable, coax, CAT 5/6, single-mode fiber optic cable, and multi-mode fiber optic cable (not limited to). Cable installation includes knowledge of placement, termination, testing, labeling, and documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 + years of experience with Commercial Cabling, terminating, testing, and labeling CAT 5/6 cables, and Voice and Data pulling.
- 2 + years of working in a Data Center environment.
- Experience with installing jacks, speakers, flat panel displays, etc...
- EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH FIBER IS A MUST! (Splicing, pulling, termination, etc.)
- Must furnish composite boots.
- Must be able to work Full time, plus Overtime if needed.
- Must be able to pass a National Background Check and Drug Screen.
- High School Diploma/GED.
