Description:

Conexess Group is looking for an experienced professional individual to join a local clients’ Innovation team within their Information Technology department. Ideal candidates will possess the ability to produce code in Java, Scala, C/C++ or similar Object Oriented programming. Mid-level professionals will be considered but a senior level engineer is highly preferred and this is an immediate full time need!

Summary:

Currently, this company is looking to build upon our current technologies and candidates should be prepared to bring fresh ideas and an eagerness to contribute in areas including building distributed systems for an asynchronous environment, data retrieval and persistence, UI and UX design, frontend framework utilization, RESTful API Design, Containerization utilizing Docker, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Linux and Mac Development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Enterprise and Big Picture mindset
  • Experience building component with health monitoring and metric analysis functionality
  • Understanding the importance of being highly conscious when solving problems spanning multiple interconnected systems
  • Experience producing dependable code in Java, Scala, C/C++ or similar OOP/Strongly typed language
  • A keen grasp of performance analysis and concerns
  • The ability to communicate concisely, honestly, and clearly
  • Passion for building distributed systems in an asynchronous problem space
  • Experience with messaging systems (ex: Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc)
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (ex: HBase, Cassandra, BigTable, etc)
  • A willingness to change priorities quickly and successfully in a strategic but fast-paced environment
  • A BS degree in computer science, engineering, or similar technical field of study
  • Experience building distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree to further education or experience in computer science, engineering or other technical related fields a plus but not required
  • Experience with A/B and parallel testing
  • Experience with event stream and/or unified log processing
  • Experience with big data frameworks (ex: Spark, Hadoop, Storm, Samza, Flink, etc)

 

Ideal candidates should be driven by data and logic, drawn to large/complex problems, have a strong sense of ownership, enjoy being part of a team, have the ability to learn new coding languages as needed and understand the importance of physical presence in a highly collaborative environment.
