Human Resources Generalist

Location: Malvern Arkansas

General Experience

  • The successful candidate will have three (3) to ten (10) years of experience in Human Resources management.
  • Must be a calm, orderly, detailed-oriented professional who can handle a large volume of work with ease and sometimes work long hours.
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to handle a high volume of work, to work under deadline pressure and to handle multiple projects.
  • Must be proficient using MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Must have experience using and maintaining resume / applicant tracking system.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement human resources programs by providing human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations;
  • Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solutions; coaching and counseling managers and employees;
  • Write, review and implement policies and a procedure related to employees including employee handbook; 
  • Track vacation and leave usage, tracks important employee dates (such as birthdays and anniversaries), and schedule performance appraisal meetings;
  • Assist with ensuring employee records are maintained in an orderly manner;
  • Onboard new hires including preparing offer letters, administering reference checks and background investigations and providing training and orientation;  
  • Providing support for terminating employees; and
  • Performing other human resources duties as assigned.

Education

BS degree in relevant discipline such as Business Management, Human Resources or BS/BA degree in another discipline with extensive course work and experience in relevant subjects. Five years of additional experience (of which at least four years must be specialized experience) may be substituted for the degree requirement.
