Position Responsibilities
- Lead analytics team in development of high-quality analysis that produces in actionable insights: This includes collaborating with internal team members to understand the business needs and objectives, then translating those requirements to analytic requests, extracting data from a variety of sources to develop recommendations that will improve business results, and organizing that data to tell a clear, comprehensive story to non-technical stakeholders and executives
- Serve as a consultative partner to team leaders and marketing channel owners on planning, strategy, measurement and optimization opportunities
- Project manage, prioritize and ensure the quality of analytics deliverables
- Partner with other departments and vendors to ensure that marketing tactics, web properties and sales processes are appropriately instrumented and operationalized for our measurement and reporting needs
- Define, build and own the core sets of reports for our all marketing and sales
- Produce both ad-hoc and regular reports to deliver insights for internal partners and executives, using dashboards, data visualizations, and custom reports (e.g. MS PowerPoint, etc.)
- Support marketing department by providing comprehensive reporting for campaigns, marketing channels and distribution channels
- Maintain awareness of current digital marketing trends and industry-related programs, which impact the enhancement of the portfolio.
- Provide input to department management regarding opportunities to develop insurance products and marketing programs.
- Manage staff to research selected opportunities, and report on findings.
- Participates in the selection, hiring, training and development of assigned staff.
- Exercises signature authority over documentation supporting individual performance appraisals, compensation adjustments, promotions, transfers and terminations in accordance with Human Resources’ policies and guidelines
- Fosters a culture of transparency, collaboration and accountability
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in CRM, Database Marketing, Analytics, or Strategy Consulting
- 3 years of experience presenting analysis and recommendations to business leaders
- 3 years of experience working with large relational datasets and databases
- 3 years of experience working with marketing and customer interaction data
- 3 years of experience working with digital marketing data including web logs or events
- 3 years of experience analyzing marketing data across more than one channel
- 3 years of direct supervision experience including responsibility for direct report’s professional and technical development
- Strong understanding of basic business principles (finance, marketing, operations, technology, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of SQL
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Proficiency in one statistical programming or scripting language (R or Python preferred) for performing reproducible and auditable analysis
- Demonstrated ability to act as a change agent
- Strong communication and influencing skills
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or other advanced degree from a competitive program
- Project management experience in an Agile environment
- Experience working with an actuarial organization
- Insurance or member organization experience is a plus
- Experience working with Salesforce CRM
