Job Description:
Our client has developed an inventory application that is hosted on a Samsung Galaxy J7 cellular device. We are seeking an Operations Specialist to own the initial support of these devices in the field.  The Ops Specialist will keep up to date on the number of devices in the field, be responsible to keep the app and device operating system updated, and operational. The Ops Specialist will drive continuous knowledge and improvement into the Help Desk team and assist the development team with any requirements they have in leveraging the mobile devices used.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience with mobile operating systems and hardware integration
  • Experience with EMM (MDM) tools for managing mobile devices
  • Understanding of mobile applications and communications
  • History of refining technical processes and improving upon them
  • Understanding of data analysis
  • Demonstrated problem solving capabilities
  • Background in QA (software or hardware) desirable

Basic Responsibilities:

  1. Participate as part of a team building out new operational procedures, processes and capabilities for the inventory application devices
  2. Run the operational tasks to ensure the inventory program is able to roll out effectively to the first set of stores and be maintained upon rollout
  3. Create and manage the updating of dashboards and metrics related to the overall health of the devices
  4. Work with vendors to ensure that the devices are functional in the field
  5. Work with help desk team members on the troubleshooting tasks that need to be used to assist stores in working with inventory app or device issues
  6. Support the broader IT group in ensuring devices are up to date and monitored effectively
