Monitoring Consultant

Westborough, MA

Talent Orchard LLC, a boutique talent acquisition consulting firm, has been retained under contract by a digital solutions and technology services company to hire an experienced Monitoring Consultant in Westborough, MA. Our client is an information technology services and infrastructure services provider who has global presence in more than 29 locations across the world. This position would be 6 months contract opportunity with high possibility of full time conversion after the contract duration based on the performance.

Responsibilities:

• Set up of new customer monitoring environments as per customer specifications
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture documents, and provide user training
• Understand the business/technical requirements
• Lead customer facing discussions and manage customer expectations
• Configuration and maintenance of enterprise monitoring environment
• Build and maintain monitoring threshold templates, both standard packages and customer specific
• Audit existing application set-ups against baseline configurations
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture documents, and provide user training

Skills Requirements:

• Hands on experience in Monitoring Tools (CA UIM (Nimsoft)/ APM / Spectrum, ManageEngine AppManager recommended)
• Network monitoring and management
• Data center operations knowledge
• Knowledge and comfort with working with and developing SNMP monitoring templates
• Sound knowledge of Data Center operations, as well as systems administration, network, database, and cloud fundamentals
• Experience in one or more programming and database languages (SQL, LUA, Java, PowerShell recommended)
• Strong inter-personal skills and comfort leading internal and customer facing discussion a must
• Work collaboratively across multiple internal/customer teams across the globe
