MECHANIC (Local)

Field Service Mechanic needed for independently owned Houston based rental company.  Position includes working with diesel and gasoline engines, equipment hydraulics and electrical systems.  Position is full time with benefits, including medical, dental, vision and paid time off.  If you have experience in these areas and possess strong customer service traits please read on!

Required Skills & Experience:

• Knowledge of both diesel & gasoline engines
• Basic knowledge of equipment hydraulics
• Knowledge of electrical systems
• Some fabrication skills
• Knowledge of construction equipment
• Basic understanding of schematics & diagrams
• Strong customer service skills
• Physical exertion required, including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds
• Familiarity of layout of the city of Houston and surrounding metro area
• Responsible for keeping service documentation
• Responsible for demonstration of equipment for customer use

Required:

• A clean driving record, a valid driver's license, criminal background check
• Must provide your own tools
• Must be willing to work both in the shop as well as in the field at work sites
• Applicant must be able to rotate on-call responsibilities
• Must be able to complete tasks independently
• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
• TWIC card is a plus!
