Career Evolutions is searching for an Office Manager for a technical Research & Development company in Scottsdale, AZ. Full-time, direct-hire opportunity with compensation up to $55,000.

This Office Manager role includes non-accounting duties typical working as the Office Manager, i.e. various administrative, employee, customer, and partner related work. All non-accounting responsibilities account for about 75% of the work.
You will also be responsible for all the bookkeeping related work, i.e. recording the day-to-day financial transactions, complete the posting process and verify that transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger. Bring the books to the trial balance stage. Assist in defining accounting policies and procedures. And, process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner. Assist preparing budget and provide management team with budget variance analysis and reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide general ledger entries and oversee A/P, A/R, and Payroll.
Prepare the budget and provide management team with budget variance analysis and reporting.
Participate in month end close, year-end audits, preparation of the business plan, and financial reporting.
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and analysis.
Assist with tax related matters to ensure timely filing.
Administrative non-accounting tasks and responsibilities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or comparable experience
5+ years of accounting experience in a small company environment
Demonstrated skills and knowledge of GAAP and Financial Reporting
Hands on QuickBooks Online experience and advanced Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail, high level of accuracy, strong analytical and organizational skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
