Financial Applications Functional Analyst

Candidates should have experience with supporting users of firm wide time, billing and financial applications within a professional service organization as well as experience with implementing, supporting and training new users.

Key Responsibilities:

• First line functional support for all issues related to the Firm’s Time, Billing and Financial system (currently Thomson Elite’s Enterprise system, Document Studio, Extend, Conflicts of Interest, Concur Expense Management system and DTE time entry).
• First line functional support for all issues related to the Firm’s global consolidation and forecasting system (HFM and Planning).
• Support users in all key processes including billing, accounts payable, general ledger, reporting, time entry and all integration applications.
• Develop plans and manage upgrades for all financial applications (Elite, Hyperion, DTE, and Business Objects).
• Work with users to develop custom applications to meet their needs to improve efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain Corporate IT annual budgets and forecasts for both op ex and cap ex.
• Business analyst for Business Objects reports, become the conduit between the business and IT for report development and design.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
• Participate in Thomson Elite’s Professional Service Organization User Group.
• Travel required less than 20%. 
• Additional duties as identified.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with professional service organization billing and accounting applications. (Preferably Thomson’s Elite Enterprise).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting desired
• Experience with financial application support
• Experience with multi-currency desired.
• Experience with Business Objects desired.
• Experience with full life cycle of application implementations desired.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and project responsibilities simultaneously.
• Experience with analyzing business requirements and developing functional application enhancement specifications.
• Experience with implementing, testing and rolling out of functional enhancements and work-arounds.
