Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Location: Jacksonville,FL
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm -7:30 am
Summary
Properly load, unload, and receive freight and load outbound trucks/trailers/containers. Safely move freight within the warehouse and on/off loading dock, ramps and yards. Place freight in appropriate storage locations and retrieve freight from appropriate storage locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading of containers, trucks and trailers using forklifts and/or pallet jacks
- Visually inspect, count and weigh freight as required. Noting any damages or differences in item counts and/or weights in writing on the delivering carriers documents
- Documenting with pictures to offer support of damages/inconsistancies
- Loading equipment in accordance with instructions from load planners
- Complete accurate load records and ensure proper distribution for retention
- Ensure proper loading techniques are used at all times to ensure safety of cargo and minimize risk of damage while in transit
- Reporting of any damages during loading process are properly documented and reported to management immediately
- Proper handling of Hazardous Materials in compliance with DOT and OSHA requirements

- Stand, stoop, walk, and use arms and legs throughout the day.
- Regularly move objects or parts weighing in excess of (50) pounds.
- Intermittently lift and or move parts or objects weighing in excess of (50-75) pounds.
- Have the ability to work in extreme weather conditions varying from +80 degrees Fahrenheit to –10 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the course of a work shift.
- Overtime is expected.
