About the Internship

MAD Security is looking for a qualified intern to join our marketing team. As a small team, MAD Security Marketing is poised with serving all areas of business from delivery to sales. As an intern, you will primarily be responsible for handling all social media as well as writing copy for blog posts. Additionally, you will get hands-on experience in many areas of marketing including trade show operations, graphic design, budgeting, email campaigns, webinars, and public relations.

Responsibilities

• Manage all social media accounts including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter
• Create social media posts by discovering interesting articles related to our business that may be newsworthy or interesting to our customers and prospects
• Create monthly reports for Marketing on the success of our social media efforts
• After a few months of understanding the industry, the intern will have the opportunity to write blog posts for MAD Security
• Assist with execution of trade shows if needed
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of training materials to sales team
• Seek and analyze competitor marketing and sales social media efforts online in order to come up with new innovative strategies

Requirements

MAD Security is looking for an undergraduate student in the Atlanta area who is majoring Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, International Affairs or Journalism. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web and social media. Experience using Hootsuite is a plus. Previous experience in Cybersecurity is also desired, but not required.

Majors

Business Administration or International Affairs; the ideal candidate should be interested in the cybersecurity field and can handle managing social media accounts professionally.

Position Details
 

• This position is remote
• $12/hour
• 8-month long internship (December and January are dormant months)
• The intern will work directly under the Marketing Manager who is based in Atlanta
