Description

Our client helps executives and managers at all levels of government maximize their performance and efficiency in the face of ever tightening budgets and increased demand for services.  They have a professional staff  that applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of the team, the Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the day to day execution of one or more engagements
  • Review client deliverables and audit work papers
  • Work with Partners and Senior Managers to determine proper accounting treatment of various issues that arise during an audit
  • Work with Partners and Senior Managers regarding project management, including scheduling, staffing and the engagement budget
  • Communicate on a daily basis with client management and process owners
  • Manage proposal and business development efforts
  • Work with firm leadership in the development of whitepapers and thought leadership documentation
  • Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management
  • Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work
  • Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials
  • Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization)
  • Determine plan assets, value them, and determine any fraud or fiduciary breach.
  • Compile and gather all the participant (census) data, determine the plan population, and build and certify a participant database

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of financial audit experience
  • 3 years employee benefit plan audit
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Active CPA Certification
  • Federal experience a plus
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security clearance
  • Experience managing teams
  • Client interface experience
