Baptist Health La Grange is seeking a  Full Time Surgical Services Unit Educator!

Job Summary:

Responsible for coordination of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of educational needs of the Surgical Services staff. Acts as a consultant, change agent, facilitator, and liaison for staff of surgical services and to the facility at large. Works variable hours to meet the needs of the various departments and shifts. Supports organizational goals.

Required Experience::

· Current RN licensure by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.

· BSN Required except as noted:

· Individuals hired as a Staff RN prior to October 1, 2013 are grandfathered and exempt.

· Individuals actively employed by the system prior to October 1, 2013 are eligible for hire as a new graduate nurse without a BSN provided they enroll within one (1) year of transfer and complete their BSN within five (5) years of hire.

· Experienced RNs hired after October 1, 2013 who do not hold a BSN may only be hired with the approval of the CNO and/or applicable Vice President provided the RN enrolls in a BSN program within one (1) year of hire and completes their BSN within five (5) years of hire.

· BCLS, ACLS & PALS required.

· Three to five years of Intra-operative, Pre-operative or Post-operative experience required.

Preferred:

· Masters in nursing or related health field preferred.

· Two years of computer/information system experience preferred.

· Teaching experience and/or project management experience preferred.
