METRO DC REGION

Talent Orchard LLC has been retained by a boutique Financial Services Consulting firm located in the Metro DC market to help build out their team. Our client was founded in 2002 to provide senior-level advisory services related to business strategy, process optimization, information technology systems, and cost remediation. Since the firms inception, the firm has expanded it’s offering to provide a full suite of end-to-end operational and technical advisory services. They are focused on supporting clients in the financial services industry and the finance and IT functions of other industries. This includes commercial banks, brokerages, investment advisors, government-sponsored housing finance organizations, and more.

Our client provides senior-level attention not possible at larger firms. They pride themselves on their ability to deliver creative solutions based on experience and expertise, tailored to each client’s specific circumstances and needs including;

  • Scope remediation and cost rationalization
  • Current state analysis, gap assessments, and target state requirements definition
  • Business process discovery, evaluation, and reengineering
  • Controls analysis and business continuity planning
  • Incident response, crisis management, and resiliency
  • Regulatory compliance assessments and advisory services
  • Large-scale program and project management

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with a wide range of projects in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Help define and document project scope in line with client priorities
  • Advise, support, and manage client teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Use strong analytical skills to define and document future state processes and requirements
  • Manage client expectations and ensure consensus on key decisions among all stakeholders
  • Support change management and training efforts with all client teams, including developing and leading presentations and project status updates
  • Take a leadership role in internal initiatives including, but not limited to recruiting, internal operations, business development, and thought leadership preparation

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of consulting experience with a leading strategic consulting firm
  • Strong financial services background and subject matter expertise, with experience with mortgage-backed securities or securitization processes preferred
  • Experience managing aspects of a project team through all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working directly with client leadership and managing small teams
  • High energy, drive, integrity, and an entrepreneurial spirit

Education:

  • An MBA or other graduate degree from a top-tier university in systems and industrial engineering, finance, economics, accounting, or another strong technical and analytical discipline
