Systems Engineer – Virtualization & IA

Fort Belvoir, VA

Secret Clearance Required

Talent Orchard has been retained by DEI as their outsourced recruiting organization to manage their hiring process and we are searching for a Systems Engineer with an active Secret Clearance for a new and exciting role supporting a DoD customer at Fort Belvoir, VA.  This position is in a fast-paced, operationally diverse Agile-like Linux and Windows development and test lab. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily support in a research and development based, daily operations and maintenance environment.
• Provide support to virtualization technologies and hands-on with installation and configuration.
• Heavy focus on maintaining and improving the IA posture of multiple enclaves.
• Support customer issues ranging from account requests and problems to troubleshooting connectivity to deploying new environments. 
• Provide technical knowledge along with top-notch customer service and an ability to adapt to an ever changing environment and requirements. 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• 3 years of professional experience
• US Citizen with Active Secret Clearance
• Certifications:  Security+ AND Vendor computer environment certification required
• Demonstrated experienced with virtualization technologies
• Hands on operations experience with the installation and configuration of ESXi 
• Experience applying Department of Defense/DISA guidelines (STIGs)
• Experience in creating, maintaining and troubleshooting an operational environment and the ability to understand the impact of outages to customers
• Ability to deal with customer issues ranging from account requests and problems to troubleshooting connectivity to deploying new environments 
• Experience setting up environments to mimic production environments via replication or cloning which includes the life-cycle areas of requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and transition to operations 

Additional Desired Qualifications:

• Experience leading a team
• Information Assurance experience
• Troubleshooting/problem solving
• VMware administration
• Windows/Linux administration
