The Aveshka Management Analyst will support ASPR’s Division of Workforce Development and Human Capital Branch leadership team, within the Office of the Chief Operating Officer (COO).  

The Management Analyst  will be responsible for helping advance the ASPR mission of public health preparedness and emergency response via Public Health Preparedness and Emergency Response Communications, Strategic Stakeholder Engagement (Congress/States & Local Government/Industry/Inter/Intra-Agency), and general Program and Project Support.

 

Responsibilities

 

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with federal business partners and stakeholders to collect and consolidate large quantities of data. Perform data analysis, identify patterns and summarize and communicate findings through the use of visualization tools
  • Identify gaps in data reporting and provide recommendations for more efficient reporting
  • Collaborate with federal business partners to define and implement data reporting tools, reports and metrics.
  • Collaborate with federal team leads to create a new system for capturing and reporting on data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, completeness and compliance of data
  • Identify trends, research causes and prepare data-driven recommendations for remediation of issues
  • Collaborate with federal team leads to develop data reporting policies and establish parameters to ensure quality and accuracy of data. Make sound recommendations for improvements to ensure long term success of data collection and reporting
  • Perform ad hoc data gathering and reporting upon request
  • Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Completes projects assigned by leaders’ on or ahead of schedule
  • Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously, proactively and follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.

Experience 

 

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • B.A. or BS Degree required
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a data analytics role, including providing support to organizational/department leadership
  • Experience using Tableau or other visualization tools
  • Understanding of visualization best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including advanced Excel skills
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision making capabilities
  • Highly resourceful team-player with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client servicer and response.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
