JOB DESCRIPTION

• Develop and implement Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) Algorithms to support and improve Social Engagement Platform

  • Support operational deployment of ML algorithms to Social Engagement Platform for existing and new verticals

  • Perform ad-hoc requests for data, and exploratory analysis for clients and new verticals

  • Conduct research and development to support new algorithms, products and models for future deployments of Social Engagement Platform

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience developing and maintaining Machine Learning and NLP algorithms including

  • Tagging, Information Extraction and Parsing

  • Text-based unstructured prediction and clustering tasks with feature extraction

  • Deep Learning for both structured and unstructured prediction for NLP

  • Data manipulation of corpora to support new ML models

  • Good working knowledge of current literature in NLP and Deep Learning

  • Some knowledge of computational linguistics, statistics desired

• Knowledge of Software Development and Best Practices

  • Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript and Java desired

  • Proficiency in Linux, and strong working knowledge of your editor of choice

• Strong self-organization, and attention to details

• Ability to work independently and think critically

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to effectively work with a team of researchers

Education Requirements

• Master’s or PhD recommended in applied mathematics, statistics, computer science or relevant technical field; or a Bachelor’s degree with significant work experience
