Summary:

Aveshka is seeking a Program Analyst to support the ASPR’s Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Program under the Office of Emergency Management. The Management Analyst will provide on-site analytical and technical support to the CIP office and work with other offices and sectors both within HHS and throughout the interagency and private sector.

Aveshka is supporting the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR). ASPR is a public health preparedness and emergency response organization in the Office of the Secretary at the United States Department of Health and Human Services. ASPR was created under the 2006 Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness Act (and reauthorized in the Pandemic and All Hazards Reauthorization Act of 2013) in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to lead the nation in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the adverse health effects of public health emergencies and disasters.

Essential Functions:

• Sector Coordinating Council: Providing strategic and operational support to the SCC. This includes supporting the monthly meeting, providing a summary, communicating with SCC members, and maintaining/updating all SCC documentation. This support also includes facilitating subsector meetings.
• HSIN-HPH: Provide support for Homeland Security Information Network – Healthcare and Public Health (HSIN-HPH), the HPH Sector’s secure password-protected information sharing portal. This includes nominating and validating members requesting access, updating the HPH Sector calendar, and reviewing content posted to the portal regularly to ensure its relevance.
• GovDelivery: Provide updates to all HPH Sector distribution lists in GovDelivery, update all messaging templates as needed, and update HPH Sector bulletin metrics each week.

Responsibilities:  

• Quality Assurance: This includes performing quality assurance reviews of all Aveshka-developed products.  
• Adobe Connect: Have a working knowledge of Adobe Connect to operate webinars as needed.
• Emergency Operations: Provide emergency operations surge support as needed.
