Product Development Engineer

This position will plans, design, and develop new products and manufacturing processes according to customer specifications and in accordance with company standard operating procedures. This position will coordinate development and startup activities with internal departments and customers. Manage and maintain project schedules to meet internal and customer deadlines. Review customer specifications and needs. Translate data into product engineering specifications.Outlines materials, processes, tooling, and labor content. Prepares prints, bills of material, process documentation, and other engineering documents. Designs, develops, qualifies, and validates manufacturing tooling, equipment, and processes. Maintains engineering documents to reflect changes in customer, vendor, or internal specifications. Assists sales department in estimating materials, labor, and tooling for preparation of quotations. 

Use advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Education -Fifth year college or university program certificate. 

Experience -5-10 years related experience
