Job Description
Summary
The Quotes and Domestic Transportation Coordinator duties include responding to import and export quotation requests via email or phone, update customer rate schedules and perform general pricing functions. The coordinator evaluates, costs and coordinates full container domestic and LTL shipments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for pricing request for quotes, costing updates, contract pricing uploads, and pricing procedure updates.
Issues quotes electronically using Cargo Wise and/or spreadsheets.
Gather costing information from truckers, operations, ocean carriers, etc
Work with Pricing Manager to update rate schedules, costs matrix and other data.
Work with Logistics Coordinators and Operations to update quotes retroactively based on receiving documents.
Coordinate and prepare documentation for all domestic and LTL carriers.
May occasionally be required to fill ocean transportation dispatch duties upon request.
Perform other related duties assigned by the manager

Education and/or Experience
Some college education preferred, one to three years of related experience and/or training in Transportation and Logistics; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and analyze customer and internal requests. Ability to write business correspondence, and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Spanish proficiency is a plus but not required.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages, discounts and to draw.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities
Strong MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word
Other Qualifications
Ability to multi-task and make quick calculations.

Work Environment
This job is performed in an office setting. Moderate noise from office personnel, office equipment, and light traffic. Some noise can be heard from the warehouse located nearby.
