Sr. IT Director

Position Description

The Senior Director is directing the development, implementation and administration of the technology associated with the Credit Risk and Loan Origination area of the Auto Finance business unit. The Senior Director leads a team of technologists and project managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of technology products and services, including greenfield application development, system enhancements and upgrades. In this role, the leader will bring new ideas forward to create roadmaps, resource plans, lead and mentor a set of teams, drive issue resolution and manage risk. The Senior Director will also manage external vendor relationships and services, negotiate contracts for software and consulting services, and maintain application plans.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Senior Director IT -- Consumer Credit will be required to fulfill the following responsibilities:
    1. Direct the development, implementation and administration of all IT.
    2. Perform oversight for the Project management of IT initiatives.
    3. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of technology products and services.
    4. Manage multiple areas of technology and multiple teams.
    5. Oversee hiring, staffing, training, and performance management.
    6. Preparation and management of budgets.
    7. Oversee new system facilitation, current system enhancements
    8. Manage internal/external application upgrades.
    9. Negotiate contracts for software, and consulting services.
    10. Create strategic plans and convert to easily implemented plans.
    11. Manage external vendors relationships and services.

Qualifications

  • Experience as an IT Executive, preferably in the Automotive, Auto Finance or Consumer Credit business
  • Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies and tools and software development life cycles (SDLC)
  • Experience managing technical resources, including matrix partners and 3rd party vendor resources
  • Ability to deliver quality solutions and develop process improvements
  • Superior interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10-20 years of equivalent experience
