Virtualization Systems Engineer

Talent Orchard has been retained by DEI as their outsourced recruiting organization to manage their hiring process and we are searching for a junior to mid-level Systems Engineer with expertise on Virtualized Platforms and an active Secret Clearance for a newly awarded program with a DoD Customer in Alexandria, VA. The scope of the program is to provide expertise in the design, implementation, configuration, and optimization of the Customer’s IT systems on the Unclassified (NIPRNet) and Classified (SIPRNet) networks. 

Responsibilities:

• Serve as VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) for maintaining business continuity and performing disaster recovery (DR) activity.
• Creation, Management and Configuration of Virtual Machines, Clone and Templates.
• Serve as Snapshot manager responsible for restoring of snapshots.
• Installation, Configuration and Administration of VMware and Citrix.

Required Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering with primary area of VMware/Virtualization
• Experience with V-Motion, Storage V-Motion and Network/Storage IO Control
• Experience with Port groups, VLAN networking and NIC teaming on VMware
• Experience with Citrix
• Must have an active Secret clearance
• Certified at IAT-II in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M
