Storage Administrator/Engineer

TS/SCI Clearance Required

Talent Orchard has been retained by DEI as their outsourced recruiting organization to manage their hiring process and we are searching for a Storage Admin/Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance for a newly awarded program with a DoD customer in Alexandria, VA. The Storage Engineer will shall perform all tasks for the TOP SECRET/SCI (JWICS) network.

Responsibilities:

• Provide management, configuration, administration, implementation and optimization of storage devices throughout the Customer's network. 
• ​Manage technologies and processes to maximize and improve the performance of data storage resources throughout the organization. 
• Use storage management technologies, such as replication, mirroring and security, to help a data center improve its reliability and availability.
• Configure storage in conjunction with the Records and Information Management (RIM) Division in accordance with laws, regulations, DoD policies, and Agency Instructions.
• Provide support for the data storage systems.
• Engineering and implementing networked file systems such as NFS or CIFS.
• Allocate storage to Windows servers.
• Design, plan, and implement storage strategies.
• Provide storage planning, data management, and disaster recovery planning best practices and testing.
• Installation, Configuration, and integration of filers with the Windows and Linux environments.
• Provide backup, recovery and archiving of data.
• Perform and enable controls to ensure the virtual infrastructure security posture is in compliance with DISA STIGs and DoD Customer’s regulations.
• Setting up and monitoring performance monitoring and capacity planning.
• Document incidents using the OG ticket tracking system and Knowledge Base articles are published when applicable.
• Maintain existing and when required create new SOPs in support of this objective.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience providing storage solutions in a Windows and Linux environment
• Experience with Backup, Recovery and Archiving
• Experience with networked file systems such as NFS or CIFS
• Certification at the IAT-II level in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M
• Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
