Your Role with the Company:

As Controller for this company, you will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for handling the monthly closing process, assisting with financial statement preparation and preparing work in progress for all jobs, including job review meetings.  You’ll also analyze WIP, drilling down on costs to identify red flags on jobs, and work closely with Project Managers to ensure they both understand and can interpret their financial reports.  You will travel to division offices to work with division accounting staff and operations personnel.  You will also assist the CFO with preparation of financial statements to submit to the bonding companies.

Background Profile:

• Degree or equivalent work experience
• Background in construction industry
• Experience with and understanding of Job Cost/WIP
• Strong communication skills
• Exposure to accounting systems like Timberline
• Background in monthly closing and financial statement preparation
