The IT Project Leader (PL) enables the delivery of technology-enabled solutions that address complex business needs.   The PL is responsible for planning, leading and coordinating activities of a single Company's technology project to ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished within budget and committed delivery date.   The PL works closely with internal stakeholders to define and document detailed functional and system requirements and then leads a project team to assess, configure, program, and create business solutions ensuring high-quality deliverable's.   The PL operates within Company’s SDLC methodology and adheres to technical architecture standards.   The PL also identifies potential problems and issues and helps manage issues to resolution.  
 
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Lead and coordinate activities of an IT Business Solution project to ensure goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and budgets
-Lead the definition of project charters, including project objectives, scope, stakeholder management, project stewardship, approach, deliverables and key milestones.
-Working with the project manager, assist in developing detailed project work plans.   Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones and required tasks.   Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.  
-Work closely with key stakeholders and other project team members to understand and prioritize functional requirements and information needs.   Support the development of System Requirement specifications (SRS), High Level Design, and Solution Architecture as appropriate.
-Support the development, creation and documentation of technical specifications and detailed designs from which applications and/or technical solutions can be developed that satisfy documented business /functional requirements and are flexible and expandable.
-Adhere to Company's SDLC and technology architecture requirements.   Contribute to architecture design principles and standards as appropriate.
-Identify and communicate potential problems and issues to project manager and IT Leadership team. Identify alternatives and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate.
-Routinely report and communicate accurate project status and work estimates (ETCs) to project leaders/managers in a timely fashion.  
-Provide direction to project team members throughout the project life cycle
-Communicate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.   Ensure issues are analyzed, discussed and resolved in a timely manner.   Partner with project manager and team to ensure risks and issues are managed to closure.   
-Consistently enhance skills and job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products and trends; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
 
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
-3+ years of experience in business process management and/or functional requirements analysis
-2+ years of experience leading projects with strong relationship management skills
-Experience and demonstrated competency in managing resources, tasks, scope, and budgets for large IT projects
-Strong analytical and product management skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into functional business requirements, application and operational requirements
-Experience leading technical solution design and developing detailed project plans including allocation/scheduling of tasks for project team members
-Experience with Microsoft Project and Visio
 

 REQUIRED EDUCATION:
-BS/BA in MIS, Computer Science, Business or Mathematics

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
-Experience with one or more of the following:   Web Services, SOAP, and Service Oriented Architecture
-Knowledge of restaurant business
-Knowledge of other retail business
-PMP Certification
