Description

Cuhaci & Peterson is seeking a CAD Technician II to join its growing team in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and limited experience with an architectural firm.

Responsibilities:

•             Receive and clean architectural backgrounds.

•             Setup plans for all MEP trades (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection) including Structural.

•             Accurately interpret and draft existing building conditions.

•             Prepare and create preliminary and final MEP drawings derived from written information, diagrams, hand sketches, rough layouts and verbal instructions.

•             Work on projects from schematic design through construction in a timely manner.

•             Produce high quality electronically generated drawings with accuracy, neatness and speed.

•             Assist in the maintenance of CAD detail library.

•             Communicate with in-house MEP project/ design team.

•             Adhere to Company and National CAD Standards.

 

Qualifications:

•             Proficient in the use of Autodesk's AutoCAD 2015

•             Must be experienced with Windows, Adobe, Revit and Microsoft.

•             Ability to use/desire to learn Revit.

•             Knowledge of architectural and construction drawings.

•             Attention to detail - meticulous and quality oriented to ensure work is done right the first time.

•             Meet project schedules and deadlines.

•             Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging environment, supervised or independently.

•             Possess a Strong work ethic.

•             MEP consultant companies experience a plus.

•             Associate Degree in Construction Technology, Drafting Technology or Computer-Aided Design and Drafting a plus.  Certification with equivalent experience will be considered.

•             May be required to work odd and unusual hours, including designated company and

Federal holidays.

•             Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
