We are currently seeking a seasoned professional in dynamic systems and controls with solid background in automotive systems, knowledge in chassis dynamics preferred.
Position Duties:
· The ideal candidate will model and analyze vehicle dynamic systems for control performance, sensitivity and robustness;
· Have the ability to process and interpret test data to guide control design;
· Develop vehicle control system for autonomous vehicles, including control architecture selection, algorithm design / simulation / implementation / validation, and requirement development;
· The team member will initiate and lead research both internally and externally on advanced controls with applications in autonomous vehicles;
· Support the quality processes (requirements development, functional safety, etc.), prototype development, testing, and validation.
Basic Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in automotive, mechanical, aerospace, electrical engineering with dynamics and control system design
· 3 + years’ experience in using Matlab/Simulink for modeling and simulation of dynamic systems
· 2 + years’ experience in designing, implementing, and validating real-time automotive control systems
Preferred Qualifications:
· PhD in automotive / mechanical engineering with work experiences in automotive chassis systems and controls, and vehicle dynamics
· Experience in analyzing complex dynamic systems and designing control algorithm to meet performance targets
· Experience in autonomous driving, including path planning and vehicle motion planning
· Familiarity with system engineering approach and model based development
· Excellent skills in data analysis and visualization using Matlab/Simulink and CarSim
· Experience in control rapid prototyping using dSpace
· Excellent problem-solving skills with a passion for new technology development
