We are seeking a well rounded Network Engineer with 3-5 years experience to come in and make an immediate impact with our team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform local, remote and inter-networking design, implementation and documentation
- Utilize and integrate network components such as bridges, routers and remote asynchronous links
- Monitor the performance of the network platform and making technical recommendations on improvements if necessary
- May identify business leads, interface with sales and provide input into technical proposal development
- Coordinate and take lead of assigned projects in all technical and communication aspects
- Provide technical networking support to customers and peers
- Support the implementation and ongoing operations of network access control devices to include firewalls, web proxies, and SSL VPN devices
- Work collaboratively across a variety of business units to implement new technology
- Build and configure solutions in the development, test and production environment; including documenting the security infrastructure and design
- Manage problems, maintain vendor relationships, and assist operation with vendor escalation and issue resolution
- Facilitate device refresh of network security devices with a focus on capacity, manageability, and security of new and existing security infrastructure.
- Design, deploy, and support enterprise class devices
- Troubleshoot issues including network protocol and log analysis, raw data captures, and the correlation of disparate events spanning multiple devices and platforms
- Enterprise network architecture, design, and support including network hardware, network protocols, and data flows
Skills, Licenses, Knowledge,Education and Training Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- CCNA or CCNP Certifications or equivalent
- 3-4 years of experience in network design, implementation and documentation
- 3-4 years of experience in implementation of network improvements
- Experience with switching / routing / Wi-Fi and FW/VPN on Cisco platform
- Experience with Checkpoint firewalls:
- Design and maintain Checkpoint Firewall-1/VPN-1 solutions (R65 and above)
- Upgrade HW/SW gateways and management o Work with IP appliance platforms
- Create VPN tunnels to customer networks
- Knowledge of ‘Traditional mode’ configurations
- Knowledge of encryption technologies, PKI and firewall systems
- Knowledge of networking in general, TCP-IP, routing protocols, etc.
- Beneficial knowledge of VoIP
