Business Analyst - Human Resources

Conexess is looking for an HR Generalist for our client in Southfield, MI.  In this critical role you will be responsible for supporting all Communities and functional teams covering a variety of responsibilities, including provision of quality HR support, communication of quality HR guidance and accountability for the administration of key HR processes and procedures. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists in developing, revising and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Evaluates interdependencies to identify program, plan or policy that is not in compliance with other established policies and procedures and with any relevant federal, state or local legislation
  • Assists in the planning and organizing of HR special projects
  • Prepares and maintains reports as requested by his or her immediate supervisor
  • Answers nonroutine requests for information on program / policy data and metrics
  • Assists with developing, coordinating and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow
  • Develops methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing data for reports and special projects
  • Assists in conducting periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with laws, policies and procedures
  • Proactively suggests HR improvements, keeping note of any external developments relevant to HR and how best to manage these within the company
  • Assists in developing business tracking metrics for functional areas within the HR organization
  • Assists in refining and maintaining affirmative action program; filing EEO-1 report annually; and maintaining other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations
  • Prepares and maintains employment records related to hiring, termination, leaves, transfers or promotions; utilize HR management system software and personnel files
  • Responds to ad hoc requests for reports
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or related field
  • 2+ years of professional-level experience in human resources preferred
  • SHRM Certified Professional SHRM-SC or SHRM Senior Certified Professional SHRM-CP credential preferred
  • Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM and HRIS systems administration experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work on projects requiring organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including communicating effectively with individuals of varying systems expertise
  • Strong consultative, strategic thinking; analytic skills with ability to operate independently and build effective partnerships across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative and can work independently
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional documentation skills, motivated to learn and a quick learner
  • Ability to react to changing priorities and strong time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required and MS Project, preferred
  • Must have the ability to work full time
  • Must be able to work in an office environment

Must be physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the work day
